If you wish to go caroling on Christmas Eve at the State Hospital...be at the chapel there by 8:45 a.m.! It's fun and the patients enjoy the caroling! Free pizza and pop afterward (about noon).

NWPC's Christmas Eve service is at 7:00 p.m. Some of you are babysitting & those who aren't are invited to attend the serivce! (or if there's no kids to babysit...come to the service!)

I really enjoyed seeing you all at the Ward's Open House! Thanks for stopping by!

No Youth Group this Sunday! I am planning one on Jan 4th at this point! We should be back by then! :) I'll let you know if there isn't one then!

Hey All,

Service Opportunity...THIS Saturday is B.i.G. Club from 10 - 11:30. We will rake leaves for no longer than an hour after, then have lunch! There is at least one person who has requested we rake her leaves. Let's pray for nice weather.

Even if you can't come to B.i.G. Club (my dancers!), maybe you can do the raking OR to the next Kid's Stuff BC!

Rec continues every Wednesday from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at the Community House.

Youth Group (hereafter known as YG) will be on Sunday from 6:00 - 7:30. We should be pretty steady for November. Sorry about all the other opportunities in Sept/Oct (but they were fun & different)!!!

I'm thinking about a movie night...any takers???

Rec is next Wednesday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.

There IS youth group on the 25th at 6:00 p.m.

Important Info!!!

Hi!

There WILL be a youth group meeting this Sunday night (Aug. 31st) for EVERYONE at 6:00 p.m. For those of you who went on the mission trip, we will be doing the presentation NEXT Sunday (Sept. 7th) at the 11:00 a.m. Worship Service so I need to talk with you to set that up.

The Triumphant Swing Band will be doing a free outdoor concert (in our new, hopefully finished pavilion), on Sunday, Sept. 14th. Plan to come!

The World Vision AIDS Experience is coming to Jamestown and I have tickets to that!! It will be in the afternoon of Sunday, Sept. 21st. I'll drive and we can go as a group. I need to know who is interested in going so I can plan for that.

Rec every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Next week outside at the State Hospital grounds if the weather is nice! I know some of you were at the girls soccer game last week.

See You at the Pole is Wednesday, Sept. 24th.

Rec is on Wed this week at the hospital grounds with Brian! We should be back on schedule every Wed from now on... 7:00 p.m.

I am planning a youth group meeting on Sunday... perhaps at 6:00 p.m. for EVERYONE! It's an informal one, so plan to come!

Did you see Adam's picture in the paper from the Backyard Challenge last Wednesday in Youngsville! He's in purple. Joshua is in the picture, but you can't tell because it's just from the neck down (green striped shirt!)

NEXT WED at 5:00 is a Backyard Brawl sponsored by Family Life Network with Don Sunshine at the Youngsville Evangelical Methodist Church! It will have food, swimming, games, tug of war, mud stuff, and lots of other activities and it is FREE! Yes, that's right, it's FREE! Let me know ASAP if you want to go and I will have rides 4U! That is Wed, Aug. 20th! It sounds great and I'm looking forward to it! (Obviously no Rec. here that night!)

There WILL be Youth Group this Sunday night at 6:30 for EVERYONE (Jr. Hi & Sr. Hi) I think we'll finally have our smores if the weather is nice. No lesson - it will be casual! Y'all come!

Last Minute Mission Trip Reminders

Hey Everyone,

A few reminders...

Sat. at 5:00 to pack the trailer.

Sun at 6:00 a.m. to leave

You may want a beachy towel in addition to a bath towel.

Bring $20 for the overnight stay (give to me) plus money for food/drinks/souveniers (you keep!). You might want to bring $30-40 for food. Deborah says that food & drinks at Cedar Point are somewhat expensive.

A very nice person has offered to make breakfast sandwiches on Sunday! Let me know if you want one or two and any other dietary considerations you have (no cheese, or no eggs, or whatever...) That way you can eat it in the vans or whenever if you are not a breakfast eater at 6 a.m.!

A fine bunch of sailors, actually, kayakers/canoeists! We had fun on Sunday and the weather was perfect!!

No youth group the next couple of weeks. We'll resume in July with those going on the mission trip.

Rec tomorrow night (June 25th). We will NOT have REC at all in July. I'm sure there's lots of stuff for you all to do these hazy lazy days of summer!

Hi everyone,

Missed some of you tonight. We went out to DQ after Youth Group.

I need signed forms for some of you who are going on the mission trip! You know who you are! BY THE END OF THE WEEK, PLEASE!

Let me know if you want to go canoeing on Sunday. We are leaving at about 12:30 from the church. It should be about $10 per person. I need to know who is going in the next day or so! Because of that, there is no Youth Group on Sunday.

I'll be away the next two weeks, so there won't be Youth Group then either.

There WILL be Rec. on the Wednesdays at the State Hospital Soccer Fields.

Sorry for the lack of new posts! Between busyness and my internet not being happy, it hasn't gotten done!

Firstly, congratulations go to Lindsey Berg & Nyssa Brumagin for making it into Madrigals. Congratulations go to Riane Winslow for making it into Acapella.

New newsletters out for June/July. Get one if you don't have one!

Youth group meets the next two weeks at regular times: 6:15 & 7:00! Lots of stuff to discuss so try to be there if at all possible! I need to get paperwork, etc. squared away for the mission trip before I go away later this month. Of course, even if you aren't going on the trip, you need to be at youth group!

Prince Caspian Anyone???

Hey All,

Back after a mini vacation camping last weekend. It was quite chilly at night , but sunny and fine during the days! We'll have to do a "campfire" in my backyard sometime this summer and have smores. Yum!

Is anyone interested in going to the Warren theater to see Prince Caspian on Saturday afternoon? The afternoon shows are at 12:30 and 3:30 and we can pick one to all go to. I was thinking the 12:30 one is good but Riane has to see if she is at the hospital on Sat morning. 3:30 will work also.

Thanks to all who came out for Deborahs' "graduation party" at youth group! It was fun! Youth group is this Sunday night 6:15 for Jr High and 7:00 for High Schoolers. I've missed you all so come if you can. We have some "stuff" to talk about!

Mission trip to Bay City, Michigan will be from July 27th - Aug. 2nd. I need the $50 deposit by the middle of April. We'll be doing a RADA Cutlery fundraiser this month! Details on Sunday night!

Talent show is on April 26th - Plan to do something for that...you talented types! Do go see the Wizard of Oz this weekend!

Closing is at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday and parents are encouraged to attend. Remind them, and maybe some carpooling can be arranged for that. If any of you have questions, please call me 726-2415!

Splash Lagoon & Other Opportunities...

Hi All,

Famine Folks: Thurs. 5:00 @ church to meet with the newspaper reporter about the Famine. Don't forget! ($2,800 raised - WAY TO GO!) : )

Great skate last Wednesday! Thanks to Brian for his planning and support! Those who went had a good time and no one was injured!

If you are interested in going to Splash Lagoon, I need your money & permission slip by Sunday night at the very latest!! The cost is $30. We will leave at about 9 p.m. on Friday, March 14 and be back no later than about 4:00 a.m. (that's in the morning!). I'll take you to your house. If you are in the youth group, we can help with the finances.

The mission trip is being planned and I will need a committment and the deposit of $50 by Easter at the latest so be thinking about that. It will be one of the last couple of weeks in July. Tell me which one works best for you. See me for details! We might do some fundraising activities to help with this trip.

No youth group on Sunday - There is a tureen and Buddy will talk about his mission trip to Egypt. Plan to come - you don't even need to bring a dish unless you want to. It starts at 6:00 p.m.

Kid's Stuff B.i.G. Club is on the 15th and it's the Easter Party. We need dancing people and egg-cellent egg hiders! 10:00 a.m.

Ready for the Weekend!

WORKIN' THE SPAGHETTI SUPPER!

Hi!

We had a great turnout for the supper - from you all as well as "customers." It was a good idea! Thanks for the hard work! It's fun when people do things together!

I hope you all are getting ready for the Famine weekend this weekend...planning is pretty much done thanks to Mr. B and we are excited about how God is going to work in and through our efforts! Cool event on Friday night...stay tuned... Please try to come to our worship service on Sunday, even if you attend other churches normally. Make sure your parents & siblings know that they are invited to the "break-fast" at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. You do need to be here by 5:30 p.m. on Friday so we can get out to our event on time.

Rec is tomorrow night and there WILL be Youth Group on Sunday - regular times. We'll be tired, but it will be a good "wrap up" to the weekend.

Firstly (is that a word?) - here is Mama Ward and her Mama Shukis in Florida last week with our friend, Pelican Pete! (Actually, that's just a made-up name that sounds good!)

Lots of activities this week!

2. Recreation Wed @ 7:00 at Community House

3. Wed - prep for Spaghetti Supper

4. Thur - as "after school" as possible! Spaghetti Supper. I have some festive decorations! Invite your friends and families to come!

Be sure to check Mr. B's blog for the 30 Hour Famine. I hope you are getting copious amounts of pledges (that's for Riane)!! We want to get at least $1,500 as a group! Also, begin praying NOW for the weekend!

Just want to remind some of you about getting the application for Footsteps to me by Sunday!

Be thinking about the Snow (ski/tube/board) trip on Feb. 9th to Peek n'Peak. Let me know if you want to go. There should be some help with costs. We'd like to have a count by the end of next week. This is not just for youth, adults can come, too. So can younger folks, but they need a family adult with them.

Great time on Friday at the movie (11 went) and at Youth Group last night! Be thinking about the 30 Hour Famine and invite others (6th Grade and up) to join us! February 22nd-23rd. I'm talkin' it up!!!

Rec on Wed this week. Youth Group at regular times this Sunday (6:15 & 7:00). Rec next Wed. No Youth Group on Superbowl Sunday (Feb. 3rd). MWard is "outta town." (No, I'm not going to the Superbowl!)

High Schoolers interested in Footsteps (March 28-30) - applications needed to be to me by Sunday!!!

Groundhog Day...Saturday, Feb. 2nd after Kid's Stuff...North Warren's First Winter Carnival!!! It will be held in the North Warren Park and will feature fun & games & food! Plan to be there...invite your friends and families!!! 11:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Hopefully there will be snow and it won't be TOO cold!

Speaking of cold...Saturday, Feb. 9th is our tubing/ski/snowboard trip to Peek n'Peak. All are welcome - any ages. If you are 6th grade and older, you don't need an adult from your family...if you are younger, you do. See me for costs. We plan on leaving at 2:00ish and coming back late night. (Evening tickets.) I DO need to know a week ahead "fur shure" if you plan to come so we have enough vehicles.

Doing anything Sat., Jan 19th in evening?

Ok, so it's been awhile since I've put something on here. It doesn't mean that the old brain hasn't been working, just the typing fingers...

I know this is short notice, but there is something called "Gladiator Games" that will take place on Saturday, Jan., 19th in the evening (6-9 p.m.) in Jamestown, courtesy of the Family Life Network. It's where youth groups compete in things like chariot racing and tennis ball assault. I've never been, but it sounds fun. It MAY be too late to register, but I'll try to find out tomorrow and will need a definite yes or no by Sunday. It's $5 per person, but we can cover the cost.

We also have other stuff in the works, details later...

Youth Group is for EVERYONE at 7:00 this coming Sunday.

Hi Everyone,

We are back from our trip - even got to the beach!

It's hard to believe school is tomorrow! Rec Wed (7:00), Youth Group on Sunday - regular hours (6:15 & 7:00). I look forward to seeing everyone and catching up on the past couple of weeks!
